Bring an instrument or just enjoy the sounds of Bluegrass and Old-Time Mountain Music played by local musicians. Get a true taste of real American Music at the Grill! April 24, 2014 ~ The Palisades Restaurant kicks off a whole new way to party with Late Night Stage, every LAST Thursday of the month! Check out the Palisades website for WAY more exciting music dates in 2014!
April 25, 2014 ~ Friday Night Jamboree at The Floyd Country Store, 6:30pm.
The Floyd Country store was constructed around 1910, and has been an important part of the community ever since.
The Jamboree starts every Friday at 6:30pm with an hour of bluegrass gospel music. At 7:30pm, dancers hit the floor, flatfooting and clogging to the music of regional Bluegrass or Old-Time bands. The music and dancing continues until at least 10:30pm, with an occasional two-step, square dance, or waltz thrown in for fun.
If the crowd is willing, at 10:30pm we'll round up one of the jamming groups that can be found picking outside or upstairs in the store, and they will play for the crowd until around 11:30pm.

April 25-27, 2014 ~ The Black Dog Mountain Adventure Weekend at Chateau Morrisette
This Adventure Weekend offers guests a la carte activites to include guided hiking, horseback riding through the vineyard, skeet and trap shooting with professionals, fly fishing demonstrations, and more.
Wine receptions, special game dinners and educational exhibits are also included in this interactive, fun-filled weekend in the Blue Ridge Mountains.

April 26, 2014 ~ Rockin' Brews and BBQ's at Smith Mountain Lake, 11am-6pm, 16430 Booker T. Washington Highway, Moneta VA 24121
Start your Spring with the new Smith Mountain Lake Rockin' Brews and BBQs! Wander among the tents with tasty BBQ and rockin' music. A variety of barbecue will be served from "Carolina to Kansas City" and everything in between.
Live Music and Activities, including the YMCA's huge inflatable play area for kids, a local magician and a 'Rockin' Cornhole Tournament.
Admission is $5. Children 12 and under free.
